In 2022, our team executed a large-scale 3D scanning project covering 17 square kilometers of the Kardzhali city area. This ambitious in-house project aimed to develop and optimize our processes of aerial photogrammetry data capture and processing for extensive urban territories.
Utilizing advanced 3D scanning techniques, we created a comprehensive digital twin of the city. The final deliverables included:
The project presented our team with numerous technical challenges. Optimizing flight trajectories for capturing such an extensive area required meticulous planning and coordination. Varying weather conditions during the six-month execution period imposed additional requirements on the capture processes.
Processing the massive data volume necessitated the development of specialized filtration and optimization methods. Through an iterative approach, we defined optimal processing parameters.
The knowledge and methodological approaches gained from this project formed the foundation of our expertise in photogrammetry.
This project demonstrated our capability to handle complex spatial data and create innovative solutions for urban environment digitization.
